Featured Keynote Presentations
IDUG will kick-off each full day of programming from Monday - Wednesday with a keynote session suitable for all audiences. We encourage you to join us for announcements and these key sessions each day. On Thursday, we will close our event with the same, followed by top speaker awards and a chance to win a free pass to EMEA 2027. We can't wait to see you there!

IDUG Essentials Courses for Db2 z/OS & LUW
Experience the IDUG conference while working on your fundamental skills! The Essentials track will run alongside technical and breakout sessions, which allows participants to master Db2 Essentials while taking part in other conference activities. Need to brush up on your fundamentals? Managers, do you have new staff members who could benefit? Join us in Porto – the Essentials track is included with your conference registration.
Instructor | Dougie Lawson
Douglas has than 30 years of experience in enterprise computing and technical problem solving and is a recognized expert in IBM zSeries Information Management solutions, specializing in IBM IMS and Db2. He has built a reputation for combining deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of business needs, helping organizations solve complex challenges and optimize mission-critical systems. His career includes a senior role in the high-technology software support centre of a leading American software company, where he became a trusted subject matter expert in IBM IMS and Db2 technologies. In addition to his expertise in IMS and Db2, he has extensive experience with z/OS, zSeries Assembler, PL/X, RACF (including Db2 external security), Linux, and TCP/IP networking, enabling him to deliver practical, reliable solutions for enterprise customers. IDUG Db2 for LUW Essentials sessions will run Monday - Thursday in alignment with IDUG EMEA 2026 agenda.
Instructor | Davor Rodinis
Davor is an expert trainer and consultant with 30+ years’ experience in Db2. He specialized in providing Db2 and other training services for IBM customers in over 25 countries according to global standards.
